DIY Skin Care
Try out these inexpensive but effective recipes in your skin care routine. These ingredients are available
at most natural health retailers. Use our online “Find–a-Retailer” tool to discover your local natural

Green Tea and Raw Sugar Exfoliant
Step 1: Brew a very strong ¼ cup of green tea (using ¼ cup of water).
Step 2: Let steep for a half hour.
Step 3: Remove the tea bag and empty the brewed tea leaves into a small bowl.
Step 4: Mix in 1 tbsp of course, granulated sugar with tea leaves.
Step 5: Rub gently into skin, let sit for 5-10 minutes.
Step 6: Wash off with warm water.
All Natural Honey Mask Cleanser
Step 1: Mix 2-3 teaspoons of raw, unpasteurized honey with a ½ tsp of warm water.
Step 2: Gently rub mixture on face with your fingers.
Step 3: Leave on for 5-10 minutes.
Step 4: Rinse off with warm water and pat skin dry.
All Natural Sea Salt and Water Cleanser
Step 1: Boil 1/2 cup of water.
Step 2: Dissolve 2 teaspoons of sea salt crystals in the boiling water.
Step 3: Allow to cool for a half hour; pour into a clean, reusable spray bottle.
Step 4: Spritz on skin, and let sit for 10-15 seconds.
Step 5: Gently rinse off with clean, warm water.
How to Moisturize With Coconut Oil
Step 1 : Rub one teaspoon of coconut oil* into your hands to soften and melt.
Step 2: Massage into skin, paying special attention to thicker skin: elbows, knees, ankles, feet.
*For an added health boost, mix in five-to-ten drops of sea buckthorn oil.
