Vocabulary Sentences - Unit 2
For your vocabulary homework this week you will write 10 sentences total. Each
sentence should include a vocabulary word from this week's list. In addition to including
the vocabulary words, please follow the instructions below.
 Two sentences should be a compound sentence with a comma and a FANBOYS
coordination conjunction (W sentence)
 Two sentences should be a compound sentence joined with a semicolon (L
Sentence)
 Two sentences should be a sentence used with a transitional expression, a comma,
and a semicolon (V sentence).
 Four sentences can be sentences of your choice (simple, compound, complex,
etc.)
Please underline your vocabulary word and circle the part of the sentence which shows
that you have used the sentence structures correctly.
Example:
The plot of the film was so inane; in fact, I found it almost too ridiculous to believe.
