This was a traumatic time for her but she stoically did what she had to do and our move took place on the 5th of September. With sadness we stripped our old little office of our Amato presence and moved Marlene’s dad fell ill in August and after a traumatic time for him and his family of operations and intensive care, he passed away on the 25th of August. They saw him daily and he was an integral part of their family life. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Our sincere condolences to Marlene, Mike, Louise and the family. In a very difficult time Marlene showed her faith and her steel and led Amato on a new journey. It is with sadness that we had to say good bye to Yolanda Wynbergen who served Amato in a very special way for more than a year. She handled manyimportant issues eg the registration of Amato as a Public Benefit Organisation. She was also the driving force behind our ladies tea in May. Yolanda we will miss you, your talents, your hard work and your special smile.Thank you for your huge contribution towardsour organisation. May you be greatly blessed ! Congratulations Ria with a brand new grandson. Hope you and Rueben will have a wonderful Granny/grandson bond. Congratulations Theresa on Megan’s wedding. Phetsile, Cathy, Moussa, Marlene, Heila & Karen Heila Chapman did a presentation to medical students from various universities on how to support a lady who finds herself faced with an unplanned pregnancy. A testimony was given by a lady who had an abortion and the impact of that on her life. The weekend was extremely succesfull and wonderful feedback was received. . A big heartfelt thank you to Rick Wynbergen of Sign Brite, who did our Boards for us free of charge. The first one disappeared after 2 days and Rick spontaneously, did a 2nd one and fixed it to a wall inside the premises. We appreciate!! We are in the process of establishing a working agreement with Dr Matete Madiba, director of the Department of Student Affairs of the University of Pretoria, Sr Hannelie Coetzee and Dr Madeleine Nolte. We are in the process of obtaining approval to offer our services on the UP campus, which should enable us to reach many more girls and give them access to our services.
