Working as a Registered Dietitian for 31 years with all ages from pediatrics (specialty for 13 years)
through geriatrics (specialty for 7 years) in variety of settings including clinical (hospital inpatient and
outpatient), community (public health, WIC) and private practice; with a specialty in diabetes for over
23 years working with patients with Type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes (specialty as CDE for 23
years) and have worked in a variety of capacities from consultant, clinician, coordinator to
administrator, starting in OH (23 years) , then Washington, DC (1 year) and now in AL (7 years).
Throughout the 31 years advocacy and volunteerism have been a passion, beginning in 1984 as the
GCDA local dietetic district legislative chair to the privilege of serving as President for both the Ohio
and the Alabama Dietetic Associations.

Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy individual consultations for Adult Clinic, Pediatric
Clinic, and outlying MCHD clinics; conduct classes on weight loss, hypertension, low

OWH and Wise Woman New Leaf programs at MCHD; and outreach with public
speaking in the community (ie SNAP Ed sites, public schools, churches, local companies,
