2014 NMFMA Membership Application:
Farmers and Ranchers
Thank you for your interest in joining the New Mexico Farmers’ Marketing
Association (NMFMA), a state network of farmers’ markets, farmers and farm stands
working to bring locally produced food directly to communities across the state of
New Mexico.
As a member of the NMFMA, you’ll enjoy the benefits of being connected to a
statewide network of farmers, ranchers and farmers’ market volunteers including:
business trainings designed for small-scale, direct-market producers (offered
regionally and via webinars), profiles in electronic and print media and the
opportunity to distribute your information about volunteer opportunities, job
openings, CSA shares and farm updates through our electronic media.
ELIGIBILITY: Any New Mexico grower or rancher who sells the food they produce
directly to New Mexico residents is eligible for membership to the NMFMA.
Farm stand owners wishing to register their farm stands: please see the
membership application for farm stands.
REQUIREMENTS:


Operate in accordance with all relevant federal, state and local
regulations
Sell any percentage of products made by the farm or ranch directly to
consumers. Examples of such activities include: offering CSA shares,
participating at farmers’ markets, selling at farm stands, and selling food
on site through unofficial “farm store” days.

Assistance contacting area farmers’ markets, if not already vending at
a local market
Vote in all NMFMA member-led decisions
Opportunities for free promotion of farm by contributing recipes,
stories and other content to the NMFMA’s newsletter and Facebook
pages.



DUES:
Membership dues for eligible farmers are $10 annually, paid by May 1st of each year.
Current and new members must also submit their membership form by this time.
