You do not have to be insured to come to The Foscote Private Hospital, in fact many of our
patients choose to pay for their own treatment. Having a GP referral is helpful but not always
a necessity, so call The Foscote Private Hospital to find out if we are able to offer you an
appointment for any treatment that is self-funded.
A patient paying for treatment via medical insurance
Patients will require a referral letter from the GP and will need to liaise closely with the
insurance provider throughout the treatment. You should be aware of the terms and
conditions of your policy and let us know if there are any limitations. When you attend The
Foscote Private Hospital for treatment please make sure you bring the following:
• Medical insurance registration documents
• Completed claim form/proof of pre-authorisation by medical insurer.
