CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1.
The Judges decisions is final.
2.
Objections must be made in writing together with a £10 deposit within half an hour of the end of
the event concerned being judged. If the objection is not upheld the money will be forfeited.
3.
No claim can be entertained for anything that may happen to Competitors, onlookers or their
property, servants, horses or ponies, in connection with this Show. It shall be a condition of entry that
each entrant shall indemnify the promoters against any legal action from such accident.
4.
The Committee reserve the right to change Judges from one event to another or to substitute
Judges without due warning.
5.
Classes may be cancelled, amalgamated or divided depending on numbers of entries.
6.
The Organisers reserve the right to close all classes at any date if they consider sufficient entries
have been received.
7.
Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Organisers, and will be charged at double
normal fee.
8.
If for any reason the Show has to be cancelled half the entry fee only will be refunded in no other
case will this be returned.
9.
Challenge Cups must be signed for by the winners in the secretary’s office before being taken
from the ground.
10.
Any prizes not presented at the end of the class must be collected before the close of the Show.
11.
The wearing of spurs in children’s riding pony, show hunter pony, working hunter pony and
M&M working hunter pony and ridden classes is forbidden.
12.
All animals entered for this show must hold a current Flu Vaccine certificate, random inspections
may be held.
13.
All animals may be measured at the Judges’ discretion, unless official J.M.S certificate are
produced.
14.
Any pony taking part in classes Judged under BSPS rules will be liable to dope testing.
15.
In the interests of safety a Horse or Pony, whether ridden or in Hand, should be moved at a walk,
except in showing rings or designated exercise areas. Exhibitors disregarding this rule may be asked to
leave the showground. Hard hats must be worn at all times when riding anywhere on the showground.
16.
Competitors must be ready 15 minutes before the commencement of all timed classes. We regret
that due to the tight schedule, it will not be possible to delay any class, while competitors or animals
perform in another ring. Every effort will be made by the organizers to run to the approximate times
displayed. Entry into any ring late will be at the judge’s discretion.

STABLING IS AVAILABLE ON THE SHOWGROUND@£30 PER BOX/NIGHT – NO STRAW IS
PERMITTED. STABLES WILL HAVE SOME SHAVINGS, LIMITTED BALES AVAILABLE TO
PURCHASE FROM SOE SHOWGROUND. IT IS AVISABABLE TO BRING YOUR OWN
SHAVINGS, HAY AND FEEDS.
ACCOMODATION AVAILABLE AT THE RANK LODGE £25 PER CUBICLE /NIGHT.
STABLING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER THE CLOSING DATE SO PLEASE ENSURE

Competitors must be ready 15 minutes before the commencements of all timed
classes – classes will follow on
BRITISH SHOW HORSE ASSOCIATION CLASSES
Held under the rules of the British Show Horse Association. Horses must be registered
with the Association and all owners, exhibitors and riders must be Association members.
Riders must be 15 years of age or older.
Classes 1-5 and 9 & 10 are qualifiers for the Royal International Horse Show. The first
prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second will
qualify, if the first and second are already qualified then the third will go forward.
Horses competing the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain classes at their affiliated
shows cannot compete in Hack and Riding Horse classes at the same show. This does not
apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sports Horse classes
The three highest placed prize winners in all open affiliated classes will qualify to
compete in the BSHA Classic Supreme Classes at the 2014 National Championship Show.
The BSHA offer a Novice, Young Rider and Amateur rosette in each open class and a
Champion rosette for each section.
Day Tickets
Non-members may purchase up to a maximum of 2 Day Tickets per exhibitor, per horse
per season. A day ticket will allow entry into Novice, Amateur, Young Rider, Home
Produced, Working, In hand and Open affiliated classes only but will not allow entry into
RIHS or HOYS qualifying classes. Horses registered on a day ticket do not require a JMB
height certificate. Apply for a Day Ticket by downloading an application form from the
BSHA website.

Class 14 The Jockey Club RoR Novice Thoroughbred Show Series 2014
The Jockey Club RoR Novice Thoroughbred Ridden Show Horse Class
Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4years old or over, any height. To take part in this class,
horses must NOT have won any open show class. (RoR, SEIB/HOYS qualifier or any
other open show class). Riders must be 15 years or over on 1st January. Horses should be
ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle. Horses should be plaited. The first
three go forward to the championship at the Aintree National Showing Show July
2014 or 2015 for shows August 2014 to July 2015. All entries MUST be registered
with Weatherbys in their General Stud Book and MUST also be registered with the ROR.
The class is open to thoroughbreds that have RACED. The class will be run under the
rules of RoR. Horses will NOT be ridden by the judge; each horse to complete an
individual show or no longer than 1 ½ minutes to include the following movements: Walk,
Trot, Canter showing change of leg, extended canter, halt and stand, walk off on long rein.
Horses will be stripped for conformation. All those entering horses and/or participating in
the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from
time to time in force. Please be aware that the show will split the class on the horse’s last
run in a race (NH or Flat) should the entries exceed 20. Please mark your entry form
accordingly. Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap.

Class 15 The Tattersalls, RoR Thoroughbred Show Series 2014
The Tattersalls and RoR Thoroughbred Ridden Show Horse Class
Thoroughbred mare of gelding, 4 years old or over, any height. Riders must be 15 years
or over. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle. Horses
should be plaited. The first two go forward to the championship at the Hickstead
Derby Meeting on 24th June 2013. Qualification will go down to 4th place if the first 2
have already qualified. All entries MUST be registered with Weatherbys in their General
Stud Book and MUST also be registered with the RoR. The class is open to
thoroughbreds that have RACED. There will be a prize for the highest placed veteran 15
years or over. The class will be run under the rules of RoR. Horses will be ridden by the
judge. Please be aware that the show will split the class on the horse’s last run in a race

1st-4th in classes 20, 21-23 and 24-27 will qualify for the BSPS Premier League. This

have attained their 25th birthday before 1st January in the current year
Class 22 BSPS OPEN SHOW PONY, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, not
exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 13th birthday before 1st January in
the current year.
Class 23 BSPS OPEN SHOW PONY, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding
128cms and not exceeding 138cms. Riders not to have attained their 15th birthday before

old or over, exceeding 122cms and not exceeding 133cms. Riders not to have attained
their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
Class 27 BSPS OPEN PONY OF SHOW HUNTER TYPE. Mare or Gelding 4 years
old or over, exceeding 133cms and not exceeding 143cms. Riders not to have attained
their 17th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
Class 28 BSPS OPEN PONY OF SHOW HUNTER TYPE. Mare or Gelding 4 years
old or over, exceeding 143cms and not exceeding 153cms. Riders not to have attained
their 20th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
Open Show Hunter Pony Championship 1st and 2nd prize winners in Classes 25-28
The champion will qualify for the BSPS “Mitten Asbestos” Champion of Champions
Class 29 BSPS MIXED HEIGHT NOVICE SHOW HUNTER PONY, Mare or
Gelding 4 years old or over, not exceeding 153cms. Riders MUST be the correct age for
the height of the animal they ride.
1st - 4th in class 29 will qualify for the BSPS Summer Championships

RIDDEN ANGLO AND PART BRED ARABS

This is a qualifying show for the Cherif Championship 2014. The final will be held at
The Cherif Championship Show, Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, Addington, Bucks
All details and qualifying cards at £25 each (payable to Cherif Championship) from: Miss
L Temple, The Stables, Ashton Gifford Lane, Codford, Wiltshire, BA12 0JX. Please state
the name and accurate height of the horse/pony, SAE please together with contact phone
number. Ponies of 148cms & under are not to be ridden by a judge at any Cherif
Championship qualifying show, but will give an individual show. These ponies will be
ridden by a lightweight adult at the final.
Class 30 Anglo or Part Bred Arab, 148cms or under. Two may qualify. The highest
placed entries within the first four in the class at a) up to 138cms (pink card), and b) over
138cms to 148cms (blue Card). No entry placed lower than 4th can qualify, even if only
one height section is covered by the top four in the class.

HUNTER CLASSES
All Hunter Classes will be judged under the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain Rules
2014. Only horses registered on the current year’s Show Hunter register are eligible to
enter Classes 39 to 45. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms and owners
and riders must be full members of the society. Competitors must wear a skull cap or hat
with safety harness according to the current approved BSI or European Standard at all
times. Skull caps must have a navy blue or black cover.

money in any Ridden Hunter Classes at home or abroad, before 1st January in the current
year, excepting all prize money awarded as a four year old. This does not apply to Novice
Working Hunter Classes. Any horse that qualifies for Horse of the Year Show, in a
Ridden Hunter class (not including Working Hunter classes) will not be eligible to
compete in Novice classes from 1st January the following year but horses that
qualified for HOYS as a 4 year old are exempt.

The Amateur Riders Final is open to riders who for showing purposes have not
engaged in a training programme for riders/horses/ponies, livery, buying/selling or
dealing of horses/ponies as a means of deriving a source of income since
1 August 2013. It is expected that exhibitors will enter into the true spirit of this
competition and trainers and producers must not enter the ring during the judging
process. The Directors reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to refuse an
exhibitor’s entry should they be in contravention of this rule in the Directors
