ADMINISTRATIVE FACULTY JOB DESCRIPTION APPROVED POSITION INFORMATION (to be completed by HR) Effective: April 1, 2015 Title Range JCC 3 67662 Manager, Parking Administration Essential Function: Light Work Description: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Light work requires walking or standing to a significant degree and pushing and/or pulling. 1. The Manager, Parking Administration, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all parking related administration. The position provides supervision and direction to the Parking office classified staff and Special Event Staff. The incumbent oversees the daily operations of the parking office including expansion of support services, modernization of office procedures, implementation of new technologies, and staff training. * Attach an organizational chart with positions, ranges, and names for the division. 2. If line of progression, define for each range as above. 35% - Program Management Manage administrative activities within each program and create and implement policy and procedures Serves as the subject matter expert for the parking management software package. Identify and implement new technologies to improve operations and service Monitor the quality of services provided and implement improvements and efficiencies 35% - Supervision and Training Manage classified staff, casual labor and student employees in the Parking Office, Enforcement and Field Operations and Special Event Staff, including hiring, supervision, performance evaluations Provide daily oversight of operations and training in new technologies and services Mediate difficult situations 30% - Project Support Research and prepare administrative and statistical reports 1 Manager, Parking Administration Analyze data to make recommendations to management for parking and campus master planning Continue to research and implement new Transportation Demand Management (TDM) programs on campus Serve on University committees relating to parking operations Provide information for decision making and evaluation of program processes 3. The Manager is responsible for determining the most effective way to promote alternative transportation and to adopt new strategies to encourage participants. The position must demonstrate good judgment in modifying policies to problems or situations and making appropriate exceptions to policy. The individual has sole responsibility for making office management e operations, supervision and scheduling, and staff training decisions. The individual has authority to resolve difficult customer situations. 4. If a line of progression, describe the supervisory consultation at the highest level. The Manager consults with the Assistant Director on more complex parking issues and on longterm goals for the unit.
