Rules and Regulations for the 12th Thailand Paper-Folded Airplane Competition 1. Registration Type 1.1 Age not over 12 years (Year of Birth : 2003) 1.2 General (Year of Birth : before 2003) 2. Type of Competition : Length of Flight 3. Paper-Folded Airplane Regulations 3.1 Paper plane must be constructed out of one piece of A5 paper size (14.8 cm x 21.0 cm), 65 grams, folded to rectangle or cut to square (14.8 cm.) before folding it. 3.2 Paper plane must be built on site and not allow to cut, glued or taped, and equipment to use as weight for the paper plane. 3.3 Competitors must write their name on the paper plane. 4. Throwing Regulations 4.1 Competitors’ feet must be on the ground and the paper plane must hit the ground where the competitor stands on. 4.2 Any equipment for launching paper planes is not allowed. 4.3 Competitors have two rounds for the competition. 4.4 On site, competitors must submit their statistic sheet to the umpire for recording time and use hand signal prior launching paper planes. 5. Length in Flight 5.1 The duration is to be from the exact point that the aircraft leaves the hand to the point where it first hits the ground. 5.2 If the aircraft hits any object, the time should only be recorded until that point. 5.3 If the aircraft hits any object and does not hit the ground, competitors are allowed to do it again. 6. Registration 6.1 Competitors can register to join the competition during the specific schedule and present ID card to the umpire. Those who do not meet the competition requirements are not allowed to join. 6.2 Competitors will receive statistic sheet to record their profile details and their performance. 6.3 Competitors must build paper planes at the provided site and give statistic sheet to staff and wait for the competition. 7. Competition Schedule Selection: The competition will be held during November 14 – 23, 2015 Participants under 12 years must meet 11-seconds flight or over for aged not over 12 years, and for general must meet 14-second flight) Preliminary Competition Central Region Zone: the competition will be held on November 25, 2015, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm. - First Round: Select those who hit the first six highest score for each type. - Final Round: Competitors’ paper planes must be folded align with the umpire’s requirements, which will be announced on the competition day. The winners will be selected from the highest score / the best statistic of each type. * Standard paper size required by Paper Airplane Association in Japan is A5 8. Prizes and Awards - Winner: 5,000 Baht, plate, certificate and prizes, including being as the representative to join the paper plane competition in Japan - 2nd Winner: 3,000 Baht, plate, certificate and prizes - 3rd Winner: 1,000 Baht, plate, certificate and prizes - Best New competitor: 3,000 Baht, plate, certificate and prizes Thailand’s highest statistic: 3,000 Baht and certificate 500 Baht of traveling expense for competitors who can pass to the final round Certificate for those who are in the final round
