Undertook responsibility of general wards and emergency during the course of three years at
VIMS including 3 months of NICU posting.

Managed patients in the OPD along with senior residents and senior faculty members with
postings in Pediatric Endocrinology , Well Baby Clinic ,High Risk Clinic and Lactation
Management Clinic.
Extensive exposure and handling of emergencies including respiratory, cardiovascular,
neurological, GI, endocrine and renal systems , neonatal resuscitation and attending normal
deliveries as well as caesarian sections.
Substantial and comprehensive experience in operating ventilators , CPAP devices and
independent performance of emergency bedside procedures for critically ill patients including
endotracheal intubation.
Exhaustive experience in comprehensive care of patients admitted in general wards and
patients visiting the OPD.
Independent and competent performance of bedside procedures including lumbar
puncture, bone marrow aspiration & biopsy, ABG sampling and analysis , surfactant
therapy and umbilical venous catheterization.
