The band gap energy of the semiconducting material in the bulk is 1.5 eV
Percent difference
There is a difference of 28% as the known band gap energy of silicon is
1.17 eV but the calculated one was 1.5 eV. This is because the material’s
dielectric constant (dimensionless) given was just a given value to
calculate the estimation.
