Tyler Garrett
Hello! My name is Tyler Garrett. I am a senior Computer Engineering major with a minor in
Mathematics. Upon completion of my degree I plan to pursue my PhD in Computer Engineering.
While at Shippensburg I have been the recipient of the Board of Governors Scholarship and have
made the Dean’s list numerous times. In addition, I am a member of several honor societies. These
include: Upsilon Pi Epsilon, Kappa Mu Epsilon, Order of Omega, and Phi Kappa Phi. Throughout
the duration of my education at Shippensburg I have been involved with many different clubs and
organizations. I am currently an active member of the Honors Program, Kappa Sigma, Math Club,
Department of Computer Science and Engineering Council, and the Programming Team. In my free
time I love to play baseball and tennis. I am also very interested in history and astronomy as my
dream is to one day work for NASA. Shippensburg University has had such a positive impact on my
life and has helped me grow as a person. I want to be homecoming King because it would be the
epitome of how much Ship has given to me and I want a chance to give back.
Seth Baker
Hello, my name is Seth Baker and I am a senior Psychology major. I am the proud vice
president of both the Pokemon club and the multi-ethnic student association. I am a member of
orientation team and a former member of the residence hall association. In total I am part of close to
11 organizations, so I do a lot for Shippensburg. I am lucky and excited to be running for
homecoming court and I hope you have an amazing day.
Jeremy Flick
My name is Jeremy Flick and I am in the Class of 2016 here at Ship, hailing from the
hometown of Hershey, PA. As a Psychology major, I hold the position of President in both the
Psychology club and the honors society called Psi Chi. I also serve on the executive board of Dance
Troupe where I hold the position of Chairperson. In past years I have been a member of Ship MiniThon, FUSE, DiscipleMakers, FCA, and have participated in all four seasons of intramural sports.
I’ve been a finalist in campus competitions such as Mr. Shippensburg Pageant, Ship Idol, and Ship’s
Got Talent. Having had performing experience in instrumental, stage, and vocal performance, I enjoy
using my skills for music editing, songwriting, and recording in the (minimal) spare time that I have.
There have been many people at Ship who have had such a positive impact on me, and being named
Homecoming King would allow me the honor of representing everyone who has helped make me
into the person I am today. My hope is that I may be a leader that provides a positive influence for the
student body of this campus.
Nathan Rosenberger
Hello! My name is Nathan Rosenberger and I would be honored to represent Shippensburg
University as Homecoming King. I am a senior, middle level education major, with a concentration
in math and science. I am sponsored by the largest, and most musically talented student club on
campus; the Red Raider Marching Band, in which I play bass drum and am section leader of the
drumline. Outside of band, I am a campus tour guide with S.T.A.R.S., and a member of Kappa Delta
Pi, an international honor society in education. I am also on the leadership team for DiscipleMakers
Christian Fellowship, a campus ministry, and play cajon with the worship team. While being
crowned King would be an honor, the main reason I would like your vote is so I can help raise
support and awareness for the compassionate and selfless non-profit organization, Reins of Rhythm
Riding & Horsemanship, which offers riding and horsemanship lessons for able-bodied and special
need riders. My outgoing personality and hardworking attitude will enable me to contribute to this
great cause and represent our University with prestige, dignity, and pride. The title is temporary, but
the impact we will leave on our community is everlasting.
Hunter Wolfe
"My name is Hunter Wolfe, I’m a junior, and I’m a Communication/Journalism student. But
most importantly, I’m a Raider. If you met me outside of school, SU is something that would
probably come up in conversation because I have so much passion for my institution. This is evident
by my involvement in many campus organizations.
To start, I’m a brother of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity. My fraternity gives me the
opportunity to give back to my community. In the past year, I’ve participated in a 5K that benefits
children with apraxia of speech, fundraised for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, which raises money for
cancer research, and donated money to a family that had fallen victim to domestic violence.
I do a lot of community service outside my fraternity, too. I’ve donated time to King’s Kettle
food pantry in Shippensburg, spearheaded fundraising efforts for the Extra Life campaign, and helped
clean Shippensburg streets with the Career and Community Engagement Center.
I’m also an editor for The Slate newspaper, I work as a caller at the SU Foundation, and I’m an
active New Student Orientation leader. I want to be your homecoming king because I love to share
my SU pride."
