As I prepare to graduate, I am looking forward to furthering my education and have decided to apply for a
scholarship from the Barbara J. Dreyer Cares Foundation. This scholarship program was established in
memory of Connections Education’s founding CEO to benefit students graduating from Connections Partner
Schools. To fulfill the scholarship application requirements, I need to include a letter of reference from one
of my Connections teachers or my counselor. I would be honored if you could take the time to write a letter
of reference on my behalf following the instructions below. Please note that your letter must be submitted
directly to the Scholarship Administrator, not to me. Thank you so much in advance for your support!

Instructions to Teacher/Counselor: Your reference letter is a critical component of this student’s application for
a Barbara J. Dreyer Cares Foundation Scholarship (see www.barbarajdreyercares.org for complete details about
the scholarship program). Your letter should provide details of your knowledge of the applicant and why you
believe him or her to be uniquely deserving of the Barbara J. Dreyer Cares Foundation Scholarship. To create
your letter, you can use the second page of this document (or create a new page of your own), save together
with this cover sheet under a unique file name, and submit by email as instructed below.
Submitting the Reference Letter: The completed Reference Letter, together with this cover sheet, must be
submitted by email to the Scholarship Administrator at scholarships@barbarajdreyercares.org before 11:59
pm ET on the deadline listed below. Please submit your letter directly to the Scholarship Administrator –
reference letters cannot be forwarded by students.
