These instructions give you suggested guidelines for preparing your abstract for the
ICEAA / IEEE APWC. Notice that abstracts are used only to decide Conference
acceptance with a peer-review process and will not be published; the CD Conference
Proceedings will contain only the (full) final papers. The final paper must be provided by
each corresponding author after acceptance.
In the box at top of this page you must select the Conference for which your abstract is
submitted at. Please select the conference according to the topic of your abstract. Visit
topics list at www.iceaa.net. If, and only if, the Abstract has been requested for a Special
Session presentation, the Special Session title and the name of the Special Session
Organizer(s) must be provided in the second box at top of this page.
The margins and required spacing between different sections are demonstrated for the
author’s convenience. If you are using Word 6.0 or higher, just highlight each section and
replace with your own text. The suggested format for abstracts is one/two pages. The
abstract should briefly describe the scope of the work and clearly identify the focus of the
presentation at the meeting. The abstract should indicate clearly what new knowledge is
contributed and the relationship to previous work. The language of the symposium is
English. In the abstract, the text should be formatted single-column, single-spaced and
sized for 215.9x279.4 mm (8.5x11 inch) paper. The title should be centered. The
author(s) name and complete organizational affiliation should be one line below the title.
The text should start one line below the last affiliation. Left and right margins should be
38.1 mm (1.5 inches). A 25.4 mm (1 inch) margin should be at the top and bottom of the
page. Paragraphs are to be separated with one blank line. While the font type is the
author’s choice, a minimum requirement of 11 point is recommended to maintain
readability. All submissions must be electronic and in either a DOC (*.doc) or PDF
format (*.pdf). Embedded Type 1 or True Type fonts are required in the submitted PDF
1
file as subset fonts. Type 3 fonts (bitmaps) will not be accepted. Although figures can be
inserted, the file must be less than 2MB.
Only the corresponding author will receive an abstract submission acknowledgement.
The corresponding author will then be notified of acceptance by April 13, 2015, and
will be given instructions for the electronic submission of the full paper (max four pages,
max allowed file size 2MB) to be published in the CD Conference proceedings and to be
included in the IEEE Xplore.
