Sixth Grade Curriculum
Reading
Throughout the year your children will be reading various genre using our
district anthology and literary novels, both of which strongly relate to the 6th
grade curriculum. Our reading program also includes outside FUN Reading
each quarter to help meet our state standards; Fun Reading will be a part of
their earned grade. Below is our tentative schedule showing the type of genre
we will be covering per month. Please use this as a guide in helping your
student choose books, but you are certainly not limited to the genre on this list.

Oral book reports
