MARK! Are you traveling from Sweden in to Finland before you are coming to Norway you have to be sure that you have dewormed your dogs against echionococcus within 24-120 hours before crossing
BOTH the Finish and Norwegian boarder. That means that you have to treat your dogs just one time, but you have to plan so you manage tocross both boarders within the 24-120 hours after your treatment.
Transport directly from Finland to Norway: No deworming treatment necessary.
The vet team will help the mushers to confirm the deworming treatment in the dogs passport before you go home.
BUT we don’t have deworming tablets for sale!
EVERYONE HAVE TO BRING THEIR OWN DEWORMING TABLETS !!!
Health certificate - traveling with more than 5 dogs in to Norway:
When you are traveling with more than 5 dogs pr person in to Norway your dog have to be followed by a EU -healthcertificate.
This certificate must be filled out, dated and signed by an OFFICIAL veterinarian. That mean your local vet can not do this paperwork (exept in Sweden – see under).
There are 2 ways of getting the certificate:
1.
Contact an stat OFFICIAL veterinarian (in Norway = Mattilsynet, in Sweden =
Distriksveterinerane) and make them come to your kennel – they have to examinate your dogs and fill out the papers.
2.
Contact your local veterinalran – the vet must examinate your dogs and write a healthform that the dogs are healthy and in good condition, no contagious disease and that the dogs are healthy to be transported. Please remember that the dogs chipnumber must on the healtform. Take this form with you to the official veterinarian and they will fill out the EU helathcertificate.
Because you travel with your own dogs youe are undertaken the EU rules of “non-commersal import of dogs” – please make the official veterinarien attention to that so you get the fight health certificate form.
The EU- healthcertificate is for sleddogs value in 4 months!!!
Mattilsynet will be on the Norwegian boarder and at Strand Camping to check the passport for youraccinations and healthsertificates.
Please be sure that you have all your paperwork, ID and vaccinations finishes according to the current rules of import of dogs to Norway!
Good luck!
