Students will create a Rock Classification Poster. This poster will include one rock from one of the following categories: Igneous Rocks, Sedimentary Rocks, and Metamorphic Rocks. The student will include the following on their poster: • • The poster can be any size. The student must identify the rock as Igneous, Sedimentary, or a Metamorphic. This must be written on their poster. • • • The student will research the rock chosen and write a summary about the rock. The summary will include information such as the history of the rock, how long has the rock been around, describe what it looks like, if the rock is still around and if so where can it be found. Students are not limited to the amount of information found. Students will also include a picture of each rock. Students will also present their posters to the class. They will be graded on how well they present their poster.
