Sue reported that the EPI vendor wants to meet the Sprout vendor’s offer for prepackaged school supplies, and they want to beat the price. Sue reported that we order P.E. uniforms and 6th grade camp items from EPI. The EPI vendor plans to present information about their prepackaged school supply kit at the next PTO meeting scheduled for March 31st. Mr. Stell reported that we did not have enough interest for an 8th grade dance this school year, and we will look into having one next school year. Mr. Stell asked PTO members to email him our home addresses so we can be invited to a volunteer breakfast. The PTO members at the meeting provided their addresses to Mr. Stell. We discussed Teacher Appreciation Day, and Sue reported that we will provide lunch for teachers on Monday of the week of Teacher’s Appreciation, and we will do something each day of the week for teachers. We discussed what teachers may like, including chocolate, sharpies, a lanyard for their badge, or a card cover for their badge. Claudia wondered if they might like a personalized pen with a flashlight. Melody Lauzon is in charge of Teacher Appreciation. Sue asked about giving teachers a $5.00 gift card is they have perfect attendance. We also discussed gift cards for a local Zuma class, movie passes, and Itune cards. Claudia will check with Costco for the cost of movie passes. Mr. Stell told Sue to check with Marilyn Sprigs to find out how many teachers have perfect attendance. Claudia mentioned having a meeting to discuss the PTO budget for next school year, as well as to start organizing the 6th grade camp. Sue and Claudia plan to meet to discuss this. Mr. Stell recommended delivering fliers to elementary schools in May about summer camp so people can put this on their calendar. We discussed increasing the cost of the camp to $25.00 to help cover costs. We also discussed going up on the price of the school dance next school year to $5 for tickets purchased before the dance and $7 for tickets purchased at the door. 13. We discussed other fund raisers for next school year including selling discount cards. We also discussed having 500 business cards for the entire school. 14. The next PTO meeting is scheduled for March 31st at 7:30 P.M. in the PMS cafeteria.
