BioBag Tall 13 Gallon Food Scrap Bags are sized equivalent to regular tall kitchen plastic bags and fit most kitchen
waste cans. This sturdy bag is perfect for collecting food waste, paper and other compostable packaging items. Our
Tall 13 Gallon size is also great for collecting outdoor organic waste from small gardening areas. BioBag Food Scrap
Bags are made from a resin derived from plants, vegetable oils and compostable polymers. BioBag Food Scrap Bags
are made from GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) FREE crops. BioBag Food Scrap bags are Manufactured in the
USA with resin sourced from Italy.
BioBag is a world leader in providing bags and films for the collection of organic waste for the purpose of
composting. Unlike regular plastic, BioBags can be consumed by microorganisms that live in our soils. Because we
use starches from renewable crops, our bags can be readily composted along with organic waste in municipal
composting facilities. BioBag isn't a large petroleum-based plastic bag company that now conveniently dabbles in the
new business of compostable bags. We are a small, privately owned, company dedicated to only producing certified
compostable bags and films. The resin we use is sourced from Italy, as there is no "compostable resin” supplier in
North America that can guarantee a resin that is based on GMO-free crops. The resin is then blown into compostable
bags and films at our production facility in California. Little steps really do make a BIG difference when creating
products for the GREEN industry is all we do!
Twenty years ago, the concept of successfully separating organic waste from entering landfills seemed to be a dream.
Now, compostable waste separation is a highly successful, fast growing practice thanks in part to the creation of

BioBag products meet the ASTM D6400 standard specification for the labeling of plastics designed to be aerobically
composted in municipal or industrial facilities. Appropriate composting facilities may not exist in your area. Please

In addition to disposal in a municipal composting site, BioBag 13 Gallon Food Scrap Bags are also certified by OK
Compost (European) for disposal in home backyard compost settings. The certification process tests a product’s
ability to decompose at a rate similar to other compostable items placed in the same setting.
