Meeting Minutes
Bill Zeigler called the meeting was called to order at 5:57 PM on November 6, 2015 in the Chief’s
Conference Room.
Those in attendance: Kathy Hill, Carole Harris, Bonnie Roth, Bill Zeigler, Rick Wilder, Lela Paksoy, Bill
Rodgers, Susan Kahl, Kathy Lake, Roger Steinman, Sidney Polley.
Minutes- Bonnie Roth
Susan Kahl made the motion to approve the minutes Rick Wilder 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report- Susan Kahl
Bill R, made the motion to approve the report as submitted, Sidney Polley 2nd the motion. Motion
carried.

Susan received a check from Bubb.
Susan met with a CPA yesterday and will be able to invoice members next year to pay dues. The invoice
will be able to access PayPal.
Please get to Susan invoices so she can set the budget.
Susan has tax exempt forms, please see her and she will get you one.
Calendar-Bill Rodgers
Change to calendar is April 18 for Trash Bash and October 17 for Shredding and Electronics recycling.
Ask the membership to provide desserts for the people working Thanksgiving.
Email Susan if you are wanting to participate. Drop off on the 26th and the 27th.
Susan will send out a News Bite.
Membership-Carole Harris
The membership form is misleading as to the amount of dues, $30.00 not $35.00.
Won’t be an issue next year.
Scholarship- Lela Paksoy
Chief wants to stay out of the discussion regarding scholarships. In the next two months it has been
suggested that we get a scholarship committee formed. Bill Z, has recommended that we get Marty back
in the fold on that committee.
Fundraising and Special EventsThis past event ran much smoother than past events, due to traffic flow.
There was an adequate number of volunteers, could have used more.
Susan will be cutting a check for the Explorers. Susan will give the check to Coby.
For April the next shredding and electronics recycling will be done that the First United Methodist
Church of Richardson. Traffic flow still needs to be worked out.
Bill Z. and Diann are on the trash bash committee
Kathy LakeHoliday Goody bags filled with items from Sam’s, bags are filled and we put stickers on the bag to let the
officers know the bags are from CPAAA.
Susan will help Kathy with getting the bags organized.
She requests that we send out a News Bite asking if people want to donate items for the goody bag.
Heart Warmers- Sidney Polley

ProgramsSpeaker for January – Bill Z will contact Claudia to see if she has a list of speakers,
Susan will get the CPAAANT list of speakers.
Gear- Rick Wilder
To order the insulated lunch bags it could take 5-7 days. There is a minimum order on some of the lunch
bags. Rick will bring three samples to the Christmas party.
Challenge coins- in process of being made. Should be ready for by the Christmas party. Rick ordered 500
of the coins.
Website- Rick talked to Monica, she stated that she would get on it quickly. Rick will check back with her
to see when the quickly will be.
New Business
Bill Rodgers suggestion is that we brand ourselves better.
Roger’s opinion is that a lot of the officers may not know who we are and what we do. He feels that the
scholarship is focused to a small group of people.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 PM.
