Call to order:
Meeting was called to order by Wayne Yuen at 3:40 p.m.
Reports:
Negotiator’s Report:
Darren, Heather, Rob, and Susan have been working to clean up language and condense appendices in
the contract. Negotiations will begin this Spring. Susan and Rob will be sending out a request for things
that people want negotiated in the contract.
Treasurer’s Report:
We currently have: $29,086.29 checking, $10.788.21 11Mo CD $48,275.92 9Mo CD. The Franklin
Templeton account has not sent the most recent quarterly statement yet, but had $76,729.61 as of
6/30. A CD is about to mature, and Wayne will begin to ladder the CD.
President’s Report:
Ali Shokouhbakhsh has requested to address the executive board at the next meeting. Motion by Susan
Myers to allow him 10 minutes to address the Board. Seconded by Janice Jones. The motion passed 6
yea, 1 no.
In regards to the UFO forming a Political Action Committee:
Research into establishing a PAC revealed that this is farm ore complicated and potentially expensive
than previously thought.
Vote on the motion made via E-mail discussion by Alan Kirshner “The UFO should frm a PAC.”
Unanimous No. The motion fails.
Board election:
There will be no formal meeting with the Board candidates. Endorsements will be made after the
Faculty Senate Candidate Forum.
Other:
The meeting was adjourned at 4:42p.m.
