The Smithsonian Intern Challenge What is it? The Smithsonian Intern Challenge is a challenge for Smithsonian interns to visit all of the Smithsonian museums around the Washington D.C area. The goal of this challenge is to expose Smithsonian interns to the different museums, galleries, and research centers that the Smithsonian has to offer around the Washington D.C area. How to do it: 1. Visit all sixteen Smithsonian museums and galleries in the Washington D.C metro area 2. Prove that you have visited each museum by taking a picture in front of, or inside the building 3. Once you have visited all of the museums, notify the Office of Fellowships and Internships (OFI) at siofi@si.edu or call us at 202.633.7070 4. Upload the pictures to either Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook using the #smithsonianinternchallenge *Interns that contact us upon completion will be featured in their own spotlight post on the OFI website!
