▪ Separate building for Gynaecology and obstetrics, Paediatric hospital (Schnider), Cancer hospital
(Davidoff), Gene therapy, MRI and CT scan area, and Main building (Gaur SHAHA TOWERS) .
▪ Main building consists of 18 operation theatres involved in elective operation from morning 7.00am to
4 pm from Monday to Thursday. After 4 pm everyday and weekends (Friday and Saturday) is
emergency.
▪ My tasks as an anaesthesiologist covers, all the specialties.
 General Surgery( open and laparoscopic) , Orthopaedics, Gastro intestinal surgery, Neuro surgery,
Urology, Cardiac operations ( CABG, Valve replacements, pericardial windows for temponade) ,
Transplant surgery ( Lung transplant , renal transplant, pancreas transplant, Liver transplant,
Kidney ), ophthalmology, ENT surgeries etc , Gynaecology and obstetrics involve LSCS, IVF,
Hysterectomies ( open and laparoscopic), labor analgesia, family planning etc..
 Highlighting feature is the robotic assisted surgeries ( DA VINCI ROBERT) used for hepetectomy,
hysterectomy, thyroidectomy etc
 Regional Blocks using ultrasound
 Specialises in trauma resuscitation and anaesthesia
 Other operation theatres are for Interventional radiology, TAMI &TAVI under MAC, sedation and
GA, Stent placement in aortic dissection and aneurysm repair surgeries, neuro and cardio angio
units etc
 Regular duties in Recovery rooms and Intensive Care Units with latest protocols and guidelines
followed.
 Cascade of ranks in ascending order includes: Residents, Specialist, Consultants, HOD
 PROCEDURE : Use of Endotracheal tube, LMA and its types, fibre optic, gelidoscope, nerve
blocks and sheath blocks , arterial lines & central line using Ultrasound , use of TIVA in excess
especially for Electrophysiological monitoring(both motor and sensory), PICO monitors, NO using
equipment, High flow central lines. Percutaneous tracheostomy and difficult airway cart for every
four Operation theatres.
