1. The Larousse gran diccionario moderno 2004 was written by team Larousse and with
the help of many other contributors. This dictionary was published by Cambers
Harrap Publisher Ltd. and printed in Mexico in 2004. Chambers Harrap is a very
reputable references publisher. Most of their publications are dictionaries and others
references. Larousse gran diccionario moderno 2004 is the second edition of EnglishSpanish/ Spanish-English dictionary in Larousse editions. This Grand dictionary is
available electronically (http://www.larousse.com/en/dictionaries/englishspanish)and printed. Larousse Dictionaries are internationally distributed, many
colleges in USA has one printed copy of this dictionary in their library.
2. Three project in which a translator might consult this dictionary are:
 Master’s Thesis in Spanish-English translation
 Helps translators in translating with human essence not software essence
 Translating books, documents, papers, news and others important documents
that might need to be translated.
3. Some words that I found interesting in this dictionary that definition is different from
Google translator are:

This word called my attention because I never heard of them but they really exist in
Spanish or English. They even have their own translation, which Google could not give it
to me as correctly as Larousse did. This dictionary is not of purely historic interest only;
it is relevant for contemporary usage as well.
4. This dictionary is so big that I cannot imagine which Spanish or English word cannot
be found on it. Moreover, it has some are for grammar, Guide about English speaker
countries and in the last pages has a picture dictionary. The dictionary is divided in
two sections the Spanish-English and the English- Spanish. Both of the sections are in
alphabetical order. This dictionary has many good comment and evaluation from
buyer at Amazon.com and Books.google.coms. Many people had written goo
comments regarding how helpful it has been to their translations project and work.
They have recommended to other buyers and given 5 stars or 4 ½ stars to this
dictionary.
