Ten Minute Field Trip - Primary Grades
Task: Find the following symbols of the synagogue during the service.


Ten Commandments

Spice box

Bimah
Extending Activities:
1.
Draw a picture from memory of each of the symbols you saw. When finished, go back and check. Make sure you included the important parts of each symbol.
2.
Write what happens to the Torah from the time it is taken from the Ark until it is returned.
3.
You think of one!
Ten Minute Field Trip - Primary Grades
Task: Go into the synagogue and look for the things pictured on the other sheets in this folder. When you return, color the pictures of the things you saw. Color them as they are in your synagogue. You and your partner each do a sheet.
Extending Activities:
1.
Cut out the pictures and paste them on a poster. Put the name of each thing under the picture on the poster.
2.
You and your partner paste your pictures onto tag board pieces or blank index cards and make a game of Concentration.
3.
Play Concentration. Name each card you turn over.
