(£21,478 to 27,901 pro rata depending on experience)
HOURS : 22.5 per week over 3 days
(Flexible working, with the possibility of additional
hours by negotiation)
CONTRACT: Fixed term 2 years
DEPARTMENT: Designability
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Designability
REPORTS TO: Lead Occupational Therapist Designability
This is a 2 year fixed term contract.
JOB SUMMARY:
The postholder will be responsible for the day to day clinical delivery of the
Wizzybug Charitable Loan Scheme and will input into research, product development, training and promotional activities
There will be occasional evening or weekend working and some travel.
The post requires clinical knowledge in Paediatric Occupational
Therapy, together with experience of posture and seating assessments.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key roles being to
1. To manage the clinical delivery of the loan scheme
This requires close collaborative working with Designability’s production team
To answer all enquiries from professionals and families.
To screen and prioritise applications to the Loan Scheme
Liaise with health and social care professionals as required
To organise and carry out assessment appointments with children and families
To maintain appropriate clinical records
To implement a system of review and evaluation of the loan scheme
2. To promote and highlight the importance of of early years powered mobility, Wizzybug and the Wizzybug Charitable Loan Scheme
To work with the fund raising team to promote the loan scheme this will involve; creating a network of contacts, doing demonstrations, talking to groups, representing Wizzybug at exhibitions and conferences.
To set up and deliver basic early years mobility training for professionals and volunteers.
3. To support further developments within the Wizzybug project
To work with Designabilitys Product Design team on further design developments, or production improvements.
To liaise with the children's OT team at the Royal United Hospital,
Bath.
4. To support research work related to early years mobility and assistive technology
To work with Designability’s Research team to record and analyse data related to clinical outcomes.
To work with the Lead OT to prepare papers and posters for publication
5. To input into Paediatric enquiries and projects within
Designability, as requested
6. To work flexibly within the Designability team to achieve agreed organisational aims and objectives
