Biome Presentation
In order to incorporate all of the aspects of climatology that we have studied you will conduct
research on one of the biomes listed below. You will create and deliver a power point
presentation with all of the aspects listed below. You will have one slide for each of the
following:
1. Title Page: Give your presentation an intriguing title ~ something more interesting than
“The Desert”.
2. Explain how your biome is defined in terms of which zone it is found in: Tropic,
Temperate, Polar?
3. Use a map to show where your biome is distributed around the world and explain how
its latitude affects its climate.
4. Describe the average annual temperature of your biome. Be sure to include graphs,
charts, or other data to support your research
5. Describe the average annual humidity of your biome. Be sure to include graphs, charts
or other data to support your research
6. Describe the average annual precipitation of your biome. Be sure to include graphs,
charts or other data to support your research.
7. Describe how pressure systems (high pressure/low pressure) converge to contribute to
weather and climate in your biome.
8. Describe which type of biological organisms thrive in your biome.
