CALL FOR PAPERS
Special Issue on
Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
IEEE
Tsinghua Science and Technology was started publication in 1996. It is an international academic journal sponsored by Tsinghua
University and is published bimonthly. This journal aims at presenting the up-to-date scientific achievements in computer science,
electronic engineering, and other IT fields. It is indexed by EI and other abstracting indexes. From 2012,the journal enters into
IEEE Xplore Digital Library and all papers published there are freely downloadable.
This special issue is devoted to new research addressing the challenges in the areas of bioinformatics and computational biology.
Biological and medical science is one of the fastest developing research fields in the last two decades. High throughput biological
data that are used to provide information at molecular and genetic level are rapidly generated. Almost all research problems in
biological and medical sciences nowadays are computationally hard. Computational techniques have become an indispensable
tool to discover new biological insights. It has already enabled unprecedented advances in biological and medical sciences, and
will continue to be a vibrant research area with broadening of computational techniques and new emerging challenges. The goal of
this special issue is to gather recent advances addressing computational methods related to, or with application in, bioinformatics.
It aims to publish high quality, original, unpublished research papers covering all issues in bioinformatics and computational
biology. Specific topics for this special issue include but are not limited to:

Systems biology

Data mining and visualization

Structural biology

