PRIZE MONEY:
Horse section prize money will be available from the horse steward's administration van
on presentation of the Prize Voucher following the completion of each class.
FEES AND CHARGES:
ENTRY FEES as stated at the head of each page and/or section.
CARAVANS & OVERNIGHT CAMPING: A fee of $20 per night is charged.
HORSE STALLS: Limited horse stalls are available at $10.00 per box per day.
Allocation of Boxes/Yards will be at the discretion of the Committee and are limited to
out of district entrants. Membership fees, all charges & entry fees, prize money, trophies,
ribbons and sashes include GST.
REGULATIONS:
*The judges are empowered to withhold prizes in any section where the exhibits are,
in their opinion, unworthy of the prize, and at all times the Judge's decision will be final.
*Competitors must be ready when called. There can be no delay of judging for late
entries.
*The committee will provide every possible facility to competitors and every care will be
taken, but no responsibility will be incurred by the Society.
*Competitors taking part in any Show Competition do so at their own risk. The committee
reserves the right to refuse entry without assigning any reason for doing so.
*District - comprises the area within a 50km radius of Albury Post Office. Horses entered
in the "District class" to have been in the district for one month prior to the show.
*All riders in "District Class" must be bona fide residents in the district for six months prior
to the show.
*Novice Horses, Riders and Handlers are those who have not won a first ribbon at any
open show.
*Stallions: are not eligible to be ridden in classes unless otherwise stated.
*All stallions must be paraded with a bit in the mouth.
*Handlers & Riders of Stallions must be 17 years and over.
*Stewards may request Registration Papers, current membership proof, height cards,
and may order the measuring and/or drug testing of any horse or pony.
* No exhibitor or associate will initiate conversation with a judge on judging day, before,
during or after judging.
* Any exhibitor or associate who behaves offensively on the Showground will be removed

from the ground and may be refused admission.
*Random drug testing may take place at this show. Any competitor found to have
breached the ASC disputes and disciplinary regulations, will be investigated by the ASC
Disciplinary Committee. These regulations can be found on www.agshowsnsw.org.au.
INDEMNITY & WAIVER FORMS:
All competitors in horse events will be required to sign forms indemnifying the Albury
Show Society and waiving any claims against the Society for loss or damage to
competitor’s property or caused by the competitors or their animals at the show. On the
Waiver competitors must name all horses brought to the showground together with the
PIC of the property from which they have come.
PROTESTS & PROCEDURES:
A protest or complaint against any exhibit or exhibitor may be lodged verbally with the
Chief Steward of the relevant section no later than ten minutes after the judging of the
exhibit or exhibitor.
The Chief Steward must be provided with the exact nature of the complaint and act, if
necessary, to maintain competitive fairness. The Chief Steward may choose to refer the
matter to the Protests Committee, which shall comprise the President of the Society, or a
Vice President and two other members of the General Committee A protest or complaint
or an appeal against the decision of a Chief Steward may be lodged in writing with the
Secretary no later than 10 pm on the day of judging. Such protest, such complaint or
appeal shall be accompanied by a deposit of $50 which shall be forfeited if the protest,
complaint or appeal proves to be frivolous or vexatious. A matter lodged this way shall be
dealt with by the Protests Committee within 24 hours of lodgment and the decision of the
Protests Committee shall be final. NB: No protest or complaint will be considered if it
refers simply to a judge’s decision.
