5201 California Ave Suite 370 Bakersfield, CA 93309 661-633-2792 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Artificial Lift Engineer Department: Engineering Reports To: VP/GM Theta Based At: Theta Oilfield Services Headquarters in Bakersfield, CA SUMMARY Under leadership/supervision of Theta GM, drive artificial lift technologies at Theta, including developing input for product development and conducting training on production optimization using Theta products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Drive artificial lift technology at Theta, providing specifications and general input to development team for all forms of artificial lift (rod pumping, ESP, PCP, gas lift, plunger lift). Heavy focus area is the development of design and diagnostic logic that will be used to either enhance existing products or develop new products 2. Assist with developing long term direction for Theta products (product roadmap) 3. Conduct training classes on well optimization, while using Theta software products, 5-8 classes per year 4. Represent Theta at 2-3 industry conferences/trade shows per year, participating in lectures and paper writing 5. As Theta grows, potentially lead a team of engineers doing the above tasks 6. Uphold core Dover values and be an example of excellence at all times 7. Foster and motivate an atmosphere of achievement and excellence in software development and technical support of customers 8. Monthly reporting including activity/status report, expense reports, travel schedule, etc. (All duties and responsibilities must be carried out within Theta’s policies and procedures.) QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required Five (5+) years of experience in artificial lift preferred Five (5+) years of experience with an oil production company preferred Medium level knowledge and experience with several forms of artificial lift preferred Experience with SCADA automation preferred Experience/knowledge with computing technologies and software required Experience/knowledge of SCADA/Telemetry/Databases preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to speak clearly in English Willingness to travel ~ 30% (internationally & domestically) International/global experience preferred dd
