This is a three day assignment. Each day you should complete one assignment.
Nouns Tic Tac Toe Assignment
Directions: Choose three of the following assignments in a row in any direction. When you finish them,
staple them and place in the drop box.
Make an ABC book of nouns.
List a noun for every letter in
the alphabet and draw a small
picture of each noun. You
should have 26 nouns and 26
small pictures of each noun.
Color the pictures.
Create an Acrostic poem about
a proper noun. It can be about
a place, person, or thing; for
example Disney World,
President Lincoln, or Atlanta
Braves.
Write 10 sentences using the
different types of nouns (3
with common nouns, 3 with
proper nouns, & 4 with a
compound noun), and draw an
illustration for each sentence.
Color your pictures. Be sure to
underline your nouns.
Write 10 sentences with
common nouns, 10 with
proper nouns, and 10 with
compound nouns. Underline
them in your work. Use proper
capitalization and punctuation.
Write a rap or song to teach or
explain the different types of
nouns: common, proper, and
compound. Use correct
spelling and punctuation.
Write down 10 compound
nouns and draw pictures of
the two separate nouns that
when put together makes a
compound noun.
Make a list of proper nouns;
the names of 10 people, the
names of 10 places and the
names of 10 things. Make sure
to capitalize ALL of your
proper nouns!!!

pieces of white copy paper
that is folded. Front page with
the word noun and its
definition. The second, third
and fourth pages should
contain the type of noun
(common, proper, and
compound nouns) with its
definition and three examples.
Create an Acrostic poem using
your full name: first, middle
and last name (proper noun).
Write your name down the
page and start each line of
your poem about yourself with
the letters in your name.
