Circulatory System Web Activity! Introduction: Your body is like a fascinating and complex machine. It is made up of billions of tiny structures called cells, grouped together to form tissue, which in turn forms organs such as your heart. Your heart is part of your circulatory system that transports substances, such as food and oxygen, around your body, and collects some waste substances. It has three main parts: blood, vessels and the heart. You are about to flow through the study of the circulatory system. Task: You are going to learn about the circulatory system. Remember there are three different parts to the circulatory system; the heart, the blood, and the blood vessels. You will be watching a virtual tour of the heart and visiting other web sites. You will then fill out a worksheet and diagram of the heart. Once you understand how the circulatory system works, you will choose one project to complete (THIS IS YOUR CHOICE). If you finish early or if you want to do some extra credit, you can research Charles Drew or do a report on the first heart transplant. Ready, set; let’s get flowing through the circulatory system. Evaluation: You will be evaluated using a rubric that I will pass out to you in class. See Page 3. Heart Information-Task #1 Using these three websites you will be completing worksheet as a part of your grade. READ all directions before clicking on the websites!
