COMPOST SALES
Customers should bring their own shovels and containers to load
compost as there are none available for private use at the Landfill.
For vehicles that can carry larger loads than a pickup or small
trailer, the District will load compost between the hours of 9:00
a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday.
It is the responsibility of the operator of the vehicle being loaded
with compost to ensure that the vehicle being used is not loaded
beyond the legal safe carrying capacity. The District of
Summerland accepts no responsibility for any damage incurred
as a result of the vehicle being loaded up to or beyond its safe
carrying capacity. The District of Summerland reserves the right
to refuse to load any vehicle and/or limit the volume of compost
being sold or loaded.
It is recommended that you call the Summerland Sanitary Landfill
at 250-494-0583 to confirm that compost and equipment are
available.
