MEF GEN14 Proof of Concept Showcase
August 2014
This is the Call for Proposals to be a participant in the "Proof of Concept Showcase" to be held as part of MEF GEN14 event,
18-19 November 2014, Washington, DC at the Gaylord National. This is a follow up to the call for interest in the project which confirmed that there is a strong desire to use the event to showcase innovation and leadership in Carrier Ethernet and its surrounding technologies. The MEF has now formally approved the project and has retained the services of wellknown MEF member company, EANTC to manage all aspects of the project.
GEN14 is focused on defining the future of network-enabled cloud, data, and mobile services powered by the convergence of Carrier Ethernet 2.0, SDN, and virtualization technologies. The centerpiece of the GEN14 Exhibition area is the Proof of
Concept Showcase, which will provide an opportunity for service providers and network technology providers to spotlight innovations that promise to reshape the services & technology landscape.
Team approaches are encouraged: service providers and network technology providers coming together to showcase the results that can be achieved when the innovators in our industry collaborate.
Participation will be limited to a maximum of 4 demonstrations involving partnering groups or individual companies. Submissions will be assessed by a small panel, and the top 4 submissions will be selected.
Cost for participation will be on a cost-recovery basis. See the Cost section below for more information.
