Sir,
It has been learnt from reliable sources that your premier organization is in search of a few
trained and experienced Civil Engineer for execution of a prestigious major development projects of
our country. My qualification and experience of construction of major hydro-power projects makes
me a suitable candidate for a senior level post, in a leading management and construction
organization of mega projects involving major plant and machinery and heavy earth moving
equipments on Hydro Power Projects works of Rockfill/Concrete Structures, Hill Slope Stabilization
and Underground (Tunnel/Power House) works, Water Conductor System etc.
I am a Bachelor of Technology (Hons.) in Civil Engineering from I.I.T Kharagpur. Since my
graduation in 1979, I have been associated for more than thirty years in execution of large hydropower project construction involving infrastructure development in addition to construction of major
under ground and other important component of hydro-power project (Dam, Tunnel, Spillways and
Power House works etc.).
Details of my association of various projects stages and levels with National Hydro Power
Corporation Limited and Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Limited (both Government
undertaking) at different project location in India (Salal, Dul-Hasti, Tanakpur, Tehri, Koteshwar
Hydro Electric Project and Vishnugad Pipalkoti Project) are enclosed for your kind consideration
and perusal.
At present, I am Additional General Manager (PSP) with THDC Ltd. Engineer-in-charge
1000 MW, Tehri PSP Project,Executing Rs.1850crs EPC contract with Alstom-HCC consortium
agency.I have dealt with project survey and investigation works, preparation of feasibility and
detailed project report, preliminary activities of river diversion schemes and infrastructure for taking
up further construction activities of Dam, Barrages, Spillways, Tunnels and Power House works in
aaddition to cost evaluation and control system of major construction activities.
I Anil Prasad , would now prefer to be associated with various major/ minor project
development on accelerated mode of execution for our society, which is in urgent need of basic
needs and important Infra- structure essentially required for developing society. My experience
and abilities with skill of professional project management acquired shall practically help to
enhance my contribution towards evolving practical mode of implementation .
In consideration of my past experience of major Hydro-Power Project Planning and
Implementation at all following stages-
1:
Investigation & Feasibility: Topographic , Geological, and Hydrological survey,
investigation and Power potential studies for Feasibility studies .
2:
Pre-Construction : Subsequent detail project report and infrastructure planning and
development in addition to detail man power , equipment , planning and scheduling with
estimation of all major components of project.
3:
Construction : Infrastructural development involving Roads, Bridges, Non-residential,
Residential colonies, with Banking and educational facilities at project location. Tender
preparation and award of major contracts as per suitable terms and condition for quality and
timely execution of project .
But now lately after realization of in-ordinate delay and painful slow pace of such mega
project execution due to various intricate and complex problems of techno- economic
consideration and Govt. clearances ( Environmental, Forest, Land transfer, Rehabilitation, etc) is
seriously affecting on ground social development of our present generation/ society .
In view of the above , I would prefer to contribute towards Integrated Infrastructural
development of various sectors (i:e Road network, Pilgrimage, Hill station, Medical Tourism ,
Health care, Communication etc.) in the state to meet aspirations of local , National, and
International Public/ tourists.
In addition to above , I would also prefer to contribute towards Community Shelters ,Toilets and
Foods joints for poorest of our weaker section of society, irrespective of their cast , creed and
religion , who are actually deprived of essential basic needs of human life .
May I add here that , I am a hard working experienced civil engineer with necessary
aptitude , knowledge and concept to evolve practical methodology for project implementation of
projects with participation of larger section of our society ( Public / Privates ) including local
stake holders.
