The wall should be repainted with gloss paint Timber shelves at the ladies shower are missing Mirror at ladies toilet is broken One tap at ladies wash hand basin is not working Two cisterns are not flushing at the ladies shower Hooks behind the showers and all toilet for hanging luggage are missing Poster frames have not been fixed Urinal flushing system is not working Condom dispensers are missing The toilet is operational Overall quality of work is good 2) GITHIGA, GITHUNGURI Observations: Shelves at the operator’s shop are not as per Architectural drawings Bottle traps are missing in the wash hand basins Landscaping have not been done Shelves at the store are not as per Architectural drawings Poster frames have not been fixed Condom dispensers are missing Mirrors at kids’ wash hand area are missing The toilets is not operational Overall quality of work is fair WSTF/UPC PSF Short Inspection Report November 2012 2 3) NANYUKI, NAWASCO Observations: Bricks cladding at the front and at the back of the PSF are missing The bench at the veranda is too low not as specified in the drawings Steel support rails are missing in the disabled toilet Glass blocks windows were not positioned as par the drawings Taps at the wash hands area are poorly fixed At the wash hand area, ceramic tiles were used instead of the terrazzo finish as specified in the BoQs Parapet walls separating kid’s and main wash hands area are missing Cistern security covers are missing Bowl ceramic urinal were used instead of stainless steel urinal as specified in the drawings and bill of quantities The door at the ladies shower is not positioned as per the drawings The concrete louvers vent walls at the gable end are missing Counter top at the operators shop is missing, also the shelve were not fix as par the drawings Shelves at the store were not fixed as per the drawings Poster frames have not been fixed Condom dispensers are missing The toilets are not operational Overall quality of work is poor 4) KIRITIRI, EMBU WATER AND SEWERAGE COMPANY Observations Some glass pane were missing in the door to the operators shop Wall tiles were poorly fixed and they should be redone Plastic cisterns were used instead of the press button flushing cisterns which are specified in the drawings and BoQs The toilet is not operational Overall quality of work is good 5) KAKAMEGA, WESTERN WATER & SEWERAGE COMPANY Observations: WSTF/UPC Plaster work was poorly done Stainless steel urinal is very poorly done. The measurements are very different from the drawings Wall tiles are not of the specified colour and also very poorly fixed Tiles of different colours were used The wash hand area measurements are not as per the detailed drawings PSF Short Inspection Report November 2012 3 Timber toilet doors were poorly fabricated. Unseasoned timber was use for the door Plastic cisterns were used instead of the ceramic press button flushing system which is specified in the drawings and BoQs Cistern cover have not been fixed Landscaping have not been done Steel louvers window were poorly fabricated. They did not follow the details in the drawings For the slit windows, glass panes were used instead of the specified glass blocks Vent blocks used at the gable end are not as per the drawings Shelves at ladies shower have not been fixed Poster frames have not been fixed Condom dispensers are missing The toilets are not operational Overall quality of work is poor 6) ATHI-RIVER, MAVOKO Observations: One cistern at ladies is leaking Low quality taps were used at the wash hand area The toilets is operational Overall quality of work is very good 7.
