I understand, that in order to be eligible for a Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen
Preliminary Title:
I must be 13 – 17 years old and I will not have graduated from high school by
July 31, 2016.
I must compete in the 2016 Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen Scholarship
Competition.
By signing this Application & Contract and submitting it to the Miss Vermont Scholarship
Organization for approval, the Contestant and their Parent/Guardian agrees that (1) all
facts and representations contained in this Application and Contract are true and
accurate; (2) the Contestant agrees to abide by all rules and regulations of the Miss
Vermont Scholarship Organization as described in this Application and Contract, as well
as the Code of Conduct; (3) that the Contestant’s name and photograph may appear on
the MVSO web site, www.missvermont.org, and promotional materials.
Participants of the Preliminary Titleholder Program may not compete in any other
pageant or similar competition while holding a Miss Vermont Outstanding Teen
Preliminary Title. If you currently hold a title or are under contract with in any other
scholarship program or pageant, you will not be eligible to enroll in the Miss Vermont
Scholarship Organization’s Preliminary Title Program until you have officially fulfilled
your duties and crowned a successor.
Each contestant participating in the Preliminary Title Program is required to pay the
development program fee of $400, $350 for returning PTPs, and will be able to choose
a title on a first-come, first served basis. You can pay the $400 fee in full, or opt for a
three month payment plan.
If you choose the payment plan, a minimum non-refundable deposit of
$150 is due at commitment, with $125 due the second month and $125 due
the final month.
If you choose to attend a development workshop before you are paid in full
you must pay the $50 skill building workshop fee, but it will count towards
the total $400 payment, $350 for returning PTPs, for the Preliminary Title
Program.
All fees paid towards your participation in the Preliminary Titleholder
Program, Development Workshops, or the 2015 Scholarship Competition are
nonrefundable.
Please return the signed portion of this Application & Contract for Participation in the
2016 Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen Preliminary Title Program along with a signed
MVSO Code of Conduct, and the MVSO Social Media Policy. These signed documents
and a non-refundable check for the $400 development fee or a $150 deposit should be
