A.I. DuPont is a Level 1 Academic and Pediatric Trauma Facility with over 200 inpatient beds

• Anesthetic care provided for outpatient and high-risk inpatient neonatal and pediatric patients, with ages ranging from neonates to 20 years old

• Surgical services: ENT, Urology, Orthopedics, Neurosurgical, Trauma, General, Ophthalmology, and

Plastic/Reconstructive.

• Worked in a Care Team Model interviewing and assessing patients preoperatively and developing an anesthetic plan for each patient

• Administered MAC, local, and general anesthesia. Experience with both inhalational and intravenous inductions in the pediatric patient as well as intraoperative mask management

• Management of regional anesthesia

• On-call duties included assessing, planning, and providing anesthetic care for patients in emergency situations due to trauma or acute disease

Served as a consult anesthesia provided. Duties included: performing preoperative history and physical assessments for all newly registered inpatient and add-on surgical patients, postoperative day one pain assessments for inpatients, as well as continual and collaborative communication with the consult attending anesthesiologist

Thoracic r otation serving the oncologic population with anesthetic focus on fiberoptic intubations and airway assessments, one-lung ventilation, and placement of thoracic epidurals

Future elective trauma rotation at a nationally ranked trauma facility

Shock Trauma facility has over 100 inpatient beds dedicated to emergency surgery, resuscitation, intensive care, and acute surgical care
