Coordinator Application
Thank you for your interest in the International Orientation 2011! We are excited that you want to
be a part of our summer program and want you to know that Orientation Coordinators are vital to the
success of International Student Orientation. This packet includes basic information concerning the
International Student Orientation Program and an Orientation Coordinator Application. If you have any
questions about the Orientation Program or application process, please contact OISS at oiss@lmu.edu or

Please read this entire packet carefully before submitting your application, and retain these pages
for your reference.
POSITIONS:
As representatives of the University, OISS and the student body, International Orientation Coordinators are
invaluable in welcoming new students to LMU, linking them to the vast array of opportunities available to
them on campus, and acclimating and connecting them to the LMU Community.
As a Coordinator, you will assist in the planning and implementation of the International Student Orientation.
You will work directly with the OISS staff to prepare for the Summer Orientation. Your responsibilities will
include welcoming/assisting new students and families, coordinating and implementation of daily sessions,
activities and excursions, daily tasks assigned by OISS staff, and other duties as assigned.

Orientation Coordinators must have intercultural, work and leadership experience.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and be in good standing academically and judicially.

BENEFITS
Orientation Coordinators will receive a stipend for their responsibilities held during International Student
Orientation (August 15-26, 28) and will be able to move into on-campus housing early at no extra charge.
Orientation Coordinators will also receive free participation and meals in all Orientation related activities and
excursions.
