We aim to make each and every bride and groom feel as special as possible when planning their big day and indeed, on the big day itself. We can cater for up to 50 people for your wedding breakfast and we will not charge you for the room hire. Table decorations All of our day time packages include white linen table cloths, and napkins. Alternatively paper napkins can be arranged to match the colour of your choice. We offer fresh flower arrangements for tables as well as balloons with a wide range of colours starting from £5 per table Chair Covers & Room decoration If you desire, we have beautiful chair covers for you to hire, that are decorated with a sash of a colour of your choice. We charge a standard fee of £195 and this includes the hire of up to 40 chairs, table linen and runners, in matching colours of your choice, top table and cake table sashes and organza swags and they are available for both your wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast Drinks packages A drinks package has been enclosed if you would like to take advantage of this! Wedding menus A copy of our wedding menu has been enclosed along with the prices. We are happy to cater for those with special dietary requirement and vegetarians although we do ask for suitable notice. We are also happy to provide tea or coffee served with chocolate mints after your meals Cake stand We are happy to provide a cake stand and knife free of charge (square or round) Bar facilities Full bar facilities are available in the room for the night function the room and bar will open at 7.30pm and last orders will be at 11.45pm with the bar closing at 12.pm. The bar can be opened during a day function for a minimum of 30 people. Children Children are very welcome and we do offer a children’s menu for under twelve’s on request or you can choice a half portion of your chosen menu at fifty percent of the adult price Entertainment We use a local DJ company for our entertainment needs. Costs are £100 for the night, £150 for a karaoke. If you require a DJ all day then prices can be arranged. You can have an artist which we are happy to help with. During the day function we allow you to bring your own CD’s to play and we will provide a CD player. Payment Once you have decided to choose us for your function and have seen the room then to confirm your booking we ask for £100 non refundable deposit. For just an evening function then we ask for full payment 2 weeks before an all inclusive package 4 weeks before. This document contains the terms and conditions, which will apply to the contract which will be in existence between yourselves and The New Clarence if you wish to make a confirmed booking. 1. A provisional booking can be made for a period of 2 weeks, after which time a non‐refundable deposit of £150 will be required, payment by cheque or cash, to secure the booking, along with a completed and signed booking form. Two months before the wedding we will require an additional £150 non‐refundable payment. 2. 1 month prior to the Wedding Reception we will arrange a mutually convenient time to discuss the final arrangements. At this time the final balance will be due 3. Cancellations In the event that you cancel your confirmed booking at any time, the Company will require payment of a cancellation charge on the following basis: a) More than 6 calendar months before the date of the event 100% of the deposit b) Between 6 and 3 calendar months before the date 50% of the cost of the event c) Between 3 months and less than 6 weeks before the date of the event 75% of the cost of the event d) 6 weeks or less before the date of the event 100% of the cost of the event Notice of any cancellation must be given in writing. 4. If The Duke Of Cumberland is unable to honour any booking for any cause outside of its control, it shall be entitled to cancel the booking without liability. 5. The Duke Of Cumberland accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to any property brought onto the premises by the customer or persons authorised by the customer. All belongings remain the sole responsibility of the client and must be removed from the room at the end of the function. 6. The customer shall, at his or her own expense, make good any and all damage arising in any way from this hiring, however such damage be caused and by whosoever it is caused. 7. The customer or the customers’ guests may bring no food, wine, beer or spirits into the building for consumption on the premises. In the event that this occurs all lights will be turned on and all music will be turned off. All service will cease until the individuals have been removed from the premises. 8. In order to comply with current licensing legislation, underage drinking will not be tolerated and it is the customers responsibility to ensure their guests are aware of the regulations. Anyone found to be drinking alcohol after refusal due to lack of ID will be asked to leave forthwith. 9. Children are welcome at our functions whilst under full supervision of their parents and must remain in the function suite for the duration of the party. 10. The correspondence between the Duke Of Cumberland and the customer shall be taken as confirmation of the customer’s agreement with and acceptance of the terms and conditions.
