1. Music this week will be: Band on Monday, Tuesday will be choir, Wedensday band, choir on Thursday and band on
Friday.
2. There are extra Yearbooks for sale for $30 each on a first come-first served basis – they must be paid for before you
can have them – Please see Mrs. C. Kannegieter or Mrs. C. Hovde.
3. There will be an informational meeting for any girls in grades 9 or 12 who are interested in the Snow Queen contest to be
held in Clark – this in just an informational meeting and if you have a schedule conflict and cannot attend – please see
Miss Flora for details. Forms are now available!! These are due back October 10th.
4. Bridgeway Counseling will be here on October 9th and 23rd.
5. Are you ready to show off your acting skills??? 9th & 10th Graders – The Plays are IN!!! Death of a Dead Guy—A Silly
Mystery Farce. Need 3 Guys and 3 Gals & Such A Nice Little Kitty- A One Act Comedy Need 2 Guys and 1 Gal and an
off-stage 57 pound kitty. Come and read the plays in Mrs. Bratland’s room and see what you think!!! Plays will be
performed on November 20th.
6. This week is National 4-H Week. If you are interested in joining 4-H, Pleasant 4-H Club will be having their next 4-H
meeting on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 1:00 in the Willow Lake Gym. If you have any questions, please contact the Clark
County 4-H Extension Office or Rochelle Schmidt. Pleasant 4-H Club is sponsoring a Halloween movie, “Spooky
Buddies” on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 2:00 in the Willow Lake Gym. Everyone is invited to attend. Please bring a
nonperishable food item for admission to the movie. Food will be donated to the Clark County Food Pantry. Pleasant
4-H club will be providing popcorn and water. Bring your pillow or blanket and come enjoy the movie.
7. Any seniors attending Mitchell Tech next fall - please start looking for housing as this has become a problem, and there
are waiting lists already for many apartments.
8. The Schwan’s Fundraiser starts Thursday for the 8th graders DC/NY trip. Orders will be due Friday October 19.
Products can be picked up on Thursday October 25th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Elementary Parking Lot. Gift
Cards are available in $10, $25 and $50 if you would like to purchase those if Schwan’s comes to your house or for
Holiday Gifts. Thank you always for supporting our trip!!
9. Due to a scheduling conflict, Lifetouch will be here on Thursday, October 18th in the morning for retakes. Preschool will
take theirs at 12:30 p.m. Please let Mrs. C. Hovde or Mrs. Kannegieter know if you have any students that would like
retakes. New picture forms are available with Mrs. Hovde.
10. A Rep from Dakota State will be at the school on Friday, October 26th from 11:30 to noon to visit with juniors and seniors
11. Al State practice will be 8th period today.
12. JH Festival practice will be 4th period today.
13. All State practice will be Thursday at SDSU. We will leave at 7:45 a.m.
