ESTA AWARDS, FORUM and AGM - BIRMINGHAM
Sunday May 15th 2011
2011 ESTA Award for services to String Teaching and for a marked contribution to ESTA will be presented at the
AGM of the Association.
This is also the occasion when members from all parts of the United Kingdom are welcomed to meet to discuss and
plan future Regional and Local events. This year new procedures making it easier for members to organise local
events will be presented. All members are welcome.

Stringbabies Teacher Training Course - CRAWLEY
Saturday 9th April 2011 and Saturday 23rd July 2011

The teacher training days will take place at Rowfant House, Wallage Lane, Crawley, and are directed for those
interested in using Cellobabies, Violinbabies and Violababies in their teaching practices.
The courses provide comprehensive information on working
with this increasingly popular approach for teaching strings and general musicianship to very young children.
The courses will run from
10.30 until 4.30.
Cost of each course is £85. The cost includes refreshments and a buffet lunch.

The Kodaly Approach for String Teachers - LONDON

An afternoon workshop with CYRILLA ROWSELL followed by discussion on how Kodaly can best be used with string
players at all levels.
Cyrilla was a great success at the 2009 ESTA Summer School and has recently co-written, with David Vinden, a
Kodály music scheme for primary schools entitled ‘Jolly Music’.
