Duties of Officers (3) Current: Proposed: Rationale: The Vice President of Programs serves as co-chair and/or member of the Conference Planning Committee and as liaison between the Conference Planning Committee and Executive Committee. The Vice President of Programs serves as co-chair and/or member of the Conference Planning Committee and as liaison between the Conference Planning Committee and Executive Committee is responsible for the annual conference evaluation in addition to developing, maintaining and evaluating other professional development opportunities. This proposed change is recommended because of the addition of a Conference Committee Representative, who would assume many of the responsibilities of the current Vice President of Programs position. The proposed Vice President of Programs position would change to reflect current practice, as well as add responsibilities previously unassigned, such as the conference evaluation and serving as a liaison with host institutions for planning professional opportunities aside from the annual conference (for example, the Winter Professional Development workshops). Section VI. Duties of Officers (11) Proposed: Rationale: The Conference Committee Representative serves as a member of the annual conference planning committee, and as a liaison between the conference planning committee and the Executive Committee. The Conference Committee Representative will assume many of the responsibilities of the current Vice President of Programs position and asked to share conference materials and serve as a resource for the succeeding conference planning committee.
