The quality and impact of the team members’ past contributions to their respective areas of research. 2. The quality and extent of contributions the team has previously made to the training of highly qualified personnel. Merit of the Training Program Please include a 2 page (max) discussion of the extent to which the training program: 1. Is associated with a research area of high priority to Canada (including NSERC priority areas) and will provide a higher quality of training. 2. Is significant in facilitating the transition of graduate students/or postdoctoral fellows into the Canadian workforce (i.e. industry, government and/or academia). 3. Promotes the interaction of trainees with non-academic sectors. 4. Uses novel and interesting approaches to graduate training. Budget Please complete the Draft Budget Template document and submit with this iNOI. The Draft Budget Template including the following sections: 1. The anticipated level of funding support required by the research platform to meet the objectives of the proposal. Include the value of stipends along with other direct costs (i.e. travel, program development, dissemination, etc) associated with the proposed training program – 80/20 percent ratio (student stipends/others costs). 2. Estimated yearly cash contributions from partners, collaborators, university (if applicable) including amount requested from NSERC. Indicate secured or pending for contributions. 3. Justification of Budget items (2 pages max).
