PRAYER WALKING SCRIPTURES PRAYER WALKING SCRIPTURES OLIVET BAPTIST CHURCH OLIVET BAPTIST CHURCH FOR SALVATION: Pray the person(s) would have genuine “fear of the Lord.” Pray the fear of the Lord would lead to refuge and a “fountain of life.” Proverbs 14:26-27— “26In the fear of the LORD one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge. 27The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death.” Pray the person(s) would repent and turn from their sins. Pray the Lord would “blot out” their sins and grant them forgiveness. Acts 3:19-21 — “19Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, 20that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, 21whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.” Pray the Lord would open hearts to believe Jesus is the Christ of God. Pray the Lord would open mouths to confess that “Jesus is Lord.” Romans 10:9 —“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Pray the person(s) would have an opportunity to hear the gospel. Romans 10:13-15, 17 — “13For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ 14How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!’ … 17So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Pray the person(s) would believe in Jesus Christ and receive eternal life. 1 John 5:12-13 — “12Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.” FOR HOMES AND FAMILIES: Pray the home would be one that puts away its gods and serves the Lord. Joshua 24:14-15 — "14Now therefore fear the LORD and serve Him in sincerity and in faithfulness. … 15And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve.... But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Pray the Lord would be the Builder and Watchman of the home. Psalm 127:1 — “Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” Pray for a healthy, blessed, joyful, and devoted marriage within the home. Matthew 19:4-6 — “4[Jesus] answered, ‘Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5and said, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh”? 6So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.’" Pray for God-honoring submission and love in the home. Colossians 3:18-20 — “18Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. 20Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.” Pray for any children of the home to honor and obey their father and mother. Pray for the father of the home to spiritually lead and nurture his family. Ephesians 6:1-4 — “1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2‘Honor your father and mother’ (this is the first commandment with a promise), 3‘that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.’ 4Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Pray for the believers in the area to live “as lights in the world.” Philippians 2:12b-16a— “12Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. 14Do all things without grumbling or questioning, 15that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16holding fast to the word of life…”
