Greetings, Brother Knights!
ALLELULIA! CHRIST HAS RISEN!
We need to be ever grateful for all He
has done for us and mindful of His presence
as we continue this Easter Season.
It has been a long winter and we are glad
to see the sun shine and warmer days.
The winter weather has affected
attendance at some of our chicken and fish fries;
however, with our popularity of our Lenten fish
fries our numbers are up again. As many of you
know, Mary Wiener has retired as our cook and I
would like to thank her for her many years of
service to our Council. We wish her well in her
retirement! We also would like to welcome Joan
Lammers as our new cook.
I also would like to remind our members
about our monthly drawing. For $5 you can sign
up and be eligible to win. The drawing is the first
Thursday of each month at our meeting. Why not
come out and attend some of our meetings and
find out what the K of C is all about.
My first tear as Grand Knight of Council
1757 is drawing to a close. I want to thank my
officers for all their support; they made my job
easier. If there are any issues or concerns feel free
to contact me.

Special Thank You to Mary WienerMary is
retiring as our Kitchen Manager effective May 1.
Joan Lammers will be replacing Mary and assume
her responsibilities. We appreciate all the time
and effort Mary gave this Council. Enjoy your

Bingo – Bingos is held every Monday night unless
the hall is rented or it is a holiday. Early Birds
starts at 6:30PM and Regular Bingo starts at
7:30PM All proceeds go to local parishes.
Bartenders Needed – Anyone interested in
bartending a wedding or other events held at the
hall, please contact Rick Maas by phone at 419876-3409. You will have a choice of a $25 gift card
for helping. Your help is greatly appreciated!
100th Anniversary – June 28, 2014 – Invitations
have been mailed to all members. Please RSVP by
May 26, 2014 by using the envelope enclosed with
your invitation. Cost is $10/person. Mail check
and number attending to PO BOX 13, Ottawa,
Ohio 45875. Let’s have a full house for this
important milestone of our Council!
Family Picnic, Sunday, September 21 – Menu
includes ½ BBQ Chicken, Hot Dogs, French fries,
baked beans & dinner roll. Please note we are
asking for a donation of $4 for a dine-in ½ BBQ
Chicken Dinner, $6 for a carry out1/2 BBQ
Chicken Dinner. Hot Dogs Dinners are free.
