VII. If you gave CVHS a score of 3or lower on either Question # 5 and/or # 6, what is(are)
your suggestion(s) for CVHS so it ameliorate this(these) concern(s)?
The answers here were varied. Here is a list of some of the suggestions:
-do away with the lottery system of selecting students
-do not change anything (CVHS is fair the way it is)
-setup a mentor program (10th graders help 9th graders, 11th graders help 10th graders, 12
graders help 11th graders)
-make NHS (National Honor Society) due more tutoring for these students
-extend the duration of study hall (SSEP)
-have after school tutorials
-make the school more rigorous to weed out the weaker students (set a standard)
-screen the potential students better (explain to them what is expected at CVHS before they
attend)
-create and administer a diagnostic exam that will help us to determine who will potentially need
help and be proactive before it becomes a problem
-lower the standards
