ANNUAL REVIEW REPORT FORM for postgraduate taught programmes The Annual Review provides an opportunity to reflect upon the running of degree programmes at the strategic point when information on student progress and achievement becomes available. The principal objectives of the Annual Review process are: to create an opportunity to reflect on the delivery and outcomes of programmes through the views of academic staff, students and external specialists; to allow departments the opportunity to identify any innovative teaching/learning activities and/or other good practice for dissemination across the Faculty or College; to provide a clear, consistent and timely assessment of programme delivery which enables departments to identify points for action, and plan programme developments from a sound knowledge base; to provide a timetable for implementing improvements and addressing failures within degree programmes and a mechanism for raising issues more widely within the College; to employ a common College-wide framework which provides a stand-alone review document that may be examined and understood by non-subject specialists; to demonstrate an open and effective engagement with the maintenance of academic standards and with quality assurance and enhancement. 1.
