Church Choir Releases
First CD
I’ve always wondered what it would feel like to
have a CD project, and now I can tell you how it
feels – GREAT. This has been a project in the
making for about 10 months now and we will have
the completed CD available on May 4th –
Homecoming Sunday.
Thanks to a generous donor we were able to
record 12 of our favorite choir specials and 3
solos. Those favorites include, Days of Elijah,
Shoutin’ Time, He’d Still Been God, I’ll Fly Away,
Written In Red and Let The Veil Down, as well as
six others. Also on the CD are three solos
featuring Rob Shoemake, Joy Boan-Rankin and
myself. For those of you wondering, yes, I sang
“I Bowed On My Knees”. I think you will find the
selections very worshipful and will want to have
this CD for your home and your car.
Starting on Homecoming Sunday, May 4th, we will
have the CD’s available. There will be a table in
the Welcome Center where you can get your
copy. We are asking for a suggested donation of
$15 which will go back into a fund to record a
second CD and anything above that amount will
be used for missions both locally and in other
areas as needed. Make sure you get several
copies for gifts at Christmas.
I want to thank the choir for all their hard work
and hours of rehearsal that it took to make this
project. I am blessed to be your Minister of
Music and to be able to work with you each week.
I look forward to Favorites Volume #2.
We appreciate the opportunity to make this CD
and thank the person who gave the funds to
make it possible. Our goal is to make these
songs available for the uplifting of our Savior
and Lord, Jesus Christ. We do not want to
promote ourselves in any way, because Jesus is
the only one worthy of our praise, and we give
Him all the honor and glory.

Announcing the 2008 Mission Teams!
THANK YOU
Dear Church Family,
Thank you for taking such good care
of us during the recent illness and
subsequent death of my mother, Annie
Weatherly. While the delicious meals you
prepared for us nourished our bodies, your
prayers, phone calls and notes of
encouragement, and your visits nourished
our very souls. I honestly don’t know what
we would have done without all of your
support. We feel so blessed to be part of
such a loving church family. You allowed
God to use you to express His love for us
through your words and deeds, and we
appreciate you so very much. I echo the
words of Paul in Philippians, “Grace and
peace to you from God our Father and the
Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God every
time I remember you.
Love,
Ted and Betty Rogers
On behalf of the Weatherly
Family
Please pray for Germany team and the people
that they will be ministering to. Your financial
support is also needed. Designate on the
offering envelope: “For 2008 Mission Trips.”
Thank you!

PROJECT INASMUCH
The Scotland Christian Academy students –
6th grade through 12th grade had their
Spring After Dance on Friday night, April
25. In order to attend, each student had
to bring a box of sweet cakes, raisins,
crackers or Slim Jim’s to be given to our
Project Inasmuch. Also, the amount of
rent for the facility was donated to
Inasmuch - $150. We appreciate these
gifts, thank the students for their
thoughtfulness, and Praise our Lord for His
faithfulness and goodness.
Ms. Virginia
The donations each week from the Sunday
School classes have been more than we
ever expected. We thank you, Adult
Classes, for your help in feeding these 424
needy school children. Through you, “Our
God will supply all our needs according to
His riches in Glory.”

Memorial Day
May 26
On Memorial Day, it is important to
pause in gratitude to all those upon
whose shoulders we stand. We should
remember with great appreciation those
who died making helpful, positive contributions –
whether large or small – throughout human history. As
Christians we should be especially grateful to those
whose faith, service and love have enabled us to know
the Gospel and its vast implications for the entire earth.
Without our Christian teachers, pastors, missionaries
and the ordinary servants of Christ, we would not have
the Good News which is like a great light shining in the
world’s darkness. They have made sure Christ’s precious
Light has not gone out or been diminished. Memorial
Day is a day for us to think about the people of the
Light and to express to God our appreciation for them.
Regular schedule starts back May 11 at 4:30pm.
