OUTHWAITE CHARITABLE TRUST GRANT GUIDELINES FOR 2014 The Outhwaite Foundation was created in 1997 as a charitable trust by the late June Gawzner Outhwaite. Mrs. Outhwaite moved to the Santa Barbara area when her family acquired the Miramar Hotel in Montecito. Much of her adult life was spent managing the hotel. Mrs. Outhwaite designated three trustees to carry out the Foundation’s work. She suggested the trustees give consideration to organizations in Santa Barbara County with emphasis to organizations in South Santa Barbara County with the following charitable purposes: Medical Care, Support and Research Assistance to the Disabled, Elderly and Children Support to Abused Women and Children Animal Welfare Wildlife and Natural Resources Preservation Historic Preservation Support of Museums and Educational Institutions You can submit either the Outhwaite Grant Application or The Foundation Roundtable Common Grant Application [available at www.sbfoundation.org] with the respective required supplemental information. To be considered for an Outhwaite Foundation grant your 100% fully completed Grant Application must be in the Foundation office no later than 5:00 pm on July 31, 2014. Please keep in mind we do not have fulltime staff and our office is not open on a regular basis. We prefer receiving the completed Grant Application by E-Mail to jean@outhwaitefoundation.org.
